Marian Academy set to host ‘Christmas at the Promenade’

The picturesque Promenade Gardens will be the place to go on Sunday December 16, to help you get into the festive spirit this year.

‘Christmas at the Promenade’, a special holiday event organized by Marian Academy, will be filled with stalls at the ‘Merry Market Place’ and will offer bargain priced holiday products from Christmas cards, stationery, lights, decorations, ornaments, Christmas tree stands, skirts and other accessories, stockings, wreaths, garlands, gift bags, wrapping paper and supplies, Christmas candy along with holiday party supplies – so you’re sure to find the perfect gift and get into the festive spirit.

It will be a Not-So-Silent Night with a special concert planned for the event, headlined by the iconic singer and composer Dave Martins and his Band who will give another of his command performances. There will be many additional entertaining performances and cultural acts throughout the afternoon and evening by other top Guyanese artistes and performers.

Patrons must be ready to treat their taste buds as this Chillin’ Holiday Hangout will be offering lots of local food and drink from a variety of Guyanese multicultural recipes. The event will provide attendees with a wide range of local Christmas dishes, treats and an assortment of beverages both for consumption at the event and to take-a-way.

Soak up the sights, smells and sounds of Christmas at the Sana Express booths where you can take instant photographs with jolly old St. Nicholas, visit the Holiday Culinary Treasures booths and the Merry Market Place and take your children to the Kids Zone.

The venue will have an exciting variety of high-quality, unique gifts, decorations, crafts and festive foods to delight each member of the family.

The event commences at 4.00 p.m. and patrons are encouraged to use the Middle Street entrance.

Tickets are just $1,000 and gives access to the special concert and entire venue. They are available at Real Value Supermarket – Church Street, Giftland Mall, Bounty Supermarkets, Low’s Service Station – Bel Air Park and Gizmos and Gadgets – North Road. Be sure not to miss ‘Christmas at the Promenade’.
