Courts Guyana Inc. has announced the winners of its fourth annual Courts Scholarship Programme for students of the University of Guyana.
Courts is actively involved in several educational programmes and initiatives yearly including its annual Reading is Fun Programme at the University of Guyana. It is based on the desire to provide a greater social impact in the area of education that this scholarship programme was established.
The scholarship is open to customers of Courts or the children of customers and is valued at $300,000 for each year. Several criteria were outlined and it was based on these criteria that this fourth batch of students was selected. These students will also be eligible to have the scholarship renewed yearly until they complete their studies once they maintain the prerequisite GPA.
Each year new students will be able to apply for the scholarship in addition to those already in the programme. Courts will continue to review the programme overtime to ensure that it remains beneficial to customers.
