QC boy gains 19 grade ones to be 2018 CSEC top performer

After days and nights of working hard to excel, 16-year-old Christian Pile is this year’s national top performer at the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate [CSEC] examination.

The Queen’s College students was in high praise for his mother, FayAnn Simpson-Pile, for working closely with him and his father, Nigel Pile, for providing him all the resources he needed to excel.

Christian Pile has also expressed appreciation to his class and lesson teachers for helping him along the way and commended the support of his classmates too.

The top performer was able to achieve grade one passes in 19 subject areas namely: English Language, English Literature, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Integrated Science, History, Social Studies, Geography, Religious Education, Physical Education, Information Technology, Electronic Documentation Processing and Management, Principles of Business, Human and Social Biology, Spanish and Agriculture Science.

He hopes to continue at QC for the next two years to complete the Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination before deciding on a career path.
