EDUCATING HUMAN CAPITAL: KEY TO CARIBBEAN’S DEVELOPMENT

In the regional awards ceremony held for CXC top performers, the Minister of Education for St. Vincent and the Grenadines noted that the progression of the Caribbean depends on human capital. He gives a few words of encouragement to the awardees of which included students from Guyana. It was addressed that they are leaders with innovative minds which can investigate challenges and create solutions to such. The Minister also highlighted that education is the path to economic growth and development in the country. As such, as young leaders, they will be able to inspire and create a future full of meaning.

CXC contributes to this growth by adding new subjects and system to improve teaching and learning life. Out of the 17 regional awards, Guyana gained 5 of them for both CSEC & CAPE. Looking to the future, education will transform the lives of our young people, thereby, improving our economy.
