Being a young makeup artist comes with its challenges, but there’s one thing to always remember; never give up.
Those were the words of wisdom offered by established makeup artist, Anita Singh who explained that “perfection” just doesn’t happen overnight. She articulated, “Makeup is not something that you can wake up and just do. It’s all about practice but once you love it, don’t ever lose hope.”
In her interview with POSH Magazine, Anita shared that she always had a burning desire to infuse her creativity into unique masterpieces that make people feel beautiful. In this regard, she noted, “I always liked makeup, I always liked colours and I always like to be different and I like to feel beautiful.”
Several years ago, Anita intimated that she fed the flame flaring inside of her by pursuing a Cosmetology program in New York. Now with a recognized certificate and better confidence, Anita’s service is in high demand and the quality of her work always leaves her clients coming back for more. According to Anita, nothing brings her more joy than seeing her clients satisfied and feeling beautiful.
“The best part is when I’m finished and I look at what I’ve created. I just like making people feel beautiful, with flawless skin or even with acne like me, you still can feel beautiful.”
Anita specializes in all kinds of makeup styles ranging from simple to dramatic and for all kinds of occasions.She recently did the makeup for some of the participants of the Miss India Guyana for a national event.
During the day, Anita spends her time surrounded by all things she loves as she works at a makeup store called Girl’s World.The beautician finds calm and immense pleasure in helping customers discover what shade and brand of makeup products work for them.She also goes the extra mile and offers beauty tips to her customers all with the aim of helping them to get the best out of makeup.
Her three main pieces of advice are: Never go to sleep with makeup on; Always clean your makeup brushes and sponges, and scotch tape is your best friend when it comes to getting that perfect winged eyeliner.
