Overwhelmed at times by the influx of persons in need of medical care, a visiting medical team was able to complete a week of medical and dental clinics that offered a variety of services.

The visiting team represented the 24th mission of the Guyana Watch Inc. organization medical outreach.

Guyana Watch Inc. founded by businessman, Tony Yassin, has been coming to Guyana on an annual basis to offer medical care.

This year for the first time the visiting team, mainly from New York, United States, was able to benefit from the support of many local medical practitioners, which according to Yassin, will help to ensure that patients in need of further care will be able to readily access service.

All of the clinics, from Parika to Berbice, were well attended, Yassin said who was pleased to announced that Guyana Watch has once again been able to complete yet another successful medical outreach.

During the clinics some US$400,000 in medications were given out.

The curtains were brought down on the medical outreach with a dinner at the Thriving Restaurant in the capital city of Georgetown, where the visiting team, in the company of Prime Minister Moses Nagamootoo, was able to unwind before returning home.
