Boyer re-elected Private Sector Commission Chairman

Veteran Business magnate, Edward Boyer, was on Thursday re-elected Chairman of the Private Sector Commission [PSC] when the body held its 25th Annual General Meeting [AGM] at the Marriott Hotel, Georgetown.

Boyer is part of a newly appointed Executive slated to serve for the period 2017-2018.

He was re-elected unopposed to the position of Chairman while Shipping Executive, Mr. Desmond Sears, was re-elected as Vice-Chairman.

Past Chairman Major General (ret’d) Norman McLean was elected to the position of Secretary and Financial Expert, Mr. Fitzroy McLeod, was re-elected unopposed as Treasurer.

The new Executive pledged to continue to advocate for the development of the private sector in Guyana and for the improvement of the requisite enabling environment which would allow the private sector to be the true engine of growth of the country.
