Budget consultation at the Ministry of Communities saw moves being made to engage Regional Executive Officers (REO) of the 10 administrative regions.
Minister of Communities Ronald Bulkan and Permanent Secretary Emil McGarrel sat down with the REOs to discuss details and iron out issues relating to the 2018 National budget.
All the REOs were allowed to highlight what developmental plans they envisage for their respective regions and the corresponding budgetary allocation that is required to undertake those tasks.
The meeting was conducted in the boardroom of the Ministry’s Fort Street, Kingston office and saw Head of Projects, Tarachand Balgobin and other officials from the Ministry of Finance assisting with the fine-tuning of the process.
