Courts Guyana Inc. in the spirit of embracing and promoting the diverse cultures in Guyana will once again be hosting its annual Diwali Dress Competition. The staff at all Courts branches throughout the country will be dressed in their Indian attire and compete for cash prizes with the main competition being held today at Courts Main Street.
The company through the years has made this cultural activity a tradition with the display of the India wear, tassa drumming and sweet meats.
Courts will also be using this occasion to officially hand over $200,000 to the Hindu Dharmic Sabha for their annual motorcade.
In so doing Courts Guyana Inc. is convinced that it will help to amplify that it takes pride in being a culturally diverse company even as it embraces the rich heritage of the Guyanese people.
The financial support will be handed over to a representative of the Hindu Dharmic Sabha on Monday by managing director Clyde deHaas at the company’s flagship store (Main Street).
