The Caribbean Telecommunications Union (CTU) is coming to Guyana for the first time this July to hold its 24th ICT Roadshow.   Because of Guyana’s special attributes, especially its diverse economic endeavours and community life, the week-long CTU Roadshow in Guyana will place strong emphasis on e-Agriculture and 21st Century/modern facilities for persons with disabilities, among other areas that stand to benefit from ICT’s.

The Roadshow is going to be very diverse and will run from Monday July 9 to Friday July 13 at the main venue, the recently refurbished Arthur Chung Conference Center.   In addition, during the week, Agriculture specialists, ICT and other experts from across the Caribbean will fan out to Berbice and the Bina Hill Institute at Annai, Rupununi to hold specialized technology ‘clinics’ for residents.

The Ministry of Public Telecommunications is an active member of the CTU and has the responsibility to coordinate the ICT Roadshow in Guyana.
