For the holidays Giftland Office Max at Pattenson Turkeyen, has put some serious security measures in place. This includes a 60-man strong security team that will be working closely with the Guyana Police Force. This is according to information released by the management of the popular mall.

The intent of this security move, it was revealed, is to provide hassle free and secured shopping for customers during the busy Christmas season.

“These measures reinforce our validation of crowd control due to the riots by youths which occurred worldwide on Christmas Eve in Europe, South America, North America, Asia and Africa,” management said in its release.

In order to better control any crowd build up, a $1,000 entrance fee has been established. This fee, according to management, will be applicable at selected times on Christmas Even.

Meanwhile, management has made it clear that: no regular customer will be charged the entrance fee, neither will VIP customers, families [inclusive of children and parents] and persons over the age of 25.
