Guyana Watch Inc. commences 24th year of medical outreach

Residents in several areas of Guyana will from tomorrow be able to benefit from a wide range of medical services offered through clinics conducted by the United States-based Guyana Watch Inc.

A visiting medical team of about 30 individuals arrived here this morning and are eager to offer their expertise, said Founder and President of Guyana Watch, local businessman, Mr. Tony Yassin.

Outreaches across the country will last for about six days and will target a number of areas including Wales, Patentia, Vreed-en-Hoop on the West Demerara; Canje, Mara, Stanleytown, Bath Settlement, Hope Town, in Berbice and also areas including: Soesdyke, Kuru Kuru, Timehri, Santa Mission, among others. Residents will be able to benefit from both medical and dental clinics.

The outreach this year will represent the 24th year of medical missions to Guyana by the Guyana Watch Inc. organization and, according to its President, the occasion will be marked by the dissemination of more than US$400,000 worth of medications. “We hope to have a good medical outreach this year,” said Yassin who anticipates that the team will be able to attend to well over 3,000 people in need of various health care services this year.
