Guyana Carnival, slated for May 18th to the 27th will see an incredible line up of international and local artistes including some of the biggest Soca stars of the Caribbean. Some of the most anticipated concerts are Revel Nation featuring Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin and Fayann Lyons set for the National Stadium in Providence on May 26. This historic event will mark the first time the three stars will perform together on the same stage in Guyana.
Meanwhile, the Queen of Bacchanal Destra Garcia is prepared to put on an electrifying performance on May 19 at the National Park along with Spice, the Queen of Dancehall out of Jamaica. But even though this concert features two heavy hitters in music right now the organizers added International Soca Monarch Voice and crowd favorite Iwer Geroge to the bill to make it even more enticing.
Kes and a whole line up of stars are also slated to host his signature event ‘Tuesday On the Rocks’ on May 22 at the Marriott Hotel’s Parking Lot. Other mind-blowing concerts are planned throughout the 10-day event which will see stars such as Ravi B, Shal Marshall, Kerwin Dubios, Blaxx, Nilah Blackman, Teddyson John, KI and Patrice Roberts bringing the Carnival vibe.
Many of our local singers will also be a big part of the revelry with their recent hits taking center stage for the Carnival season including Big Red, Lil Red, Timeka Marshall, Jomo, Kwesi Ace, Trevon Vibes, Brandon Harding, Lil Corwin, Jay Anderson and Drew Thoven among others.
