KFC on board with Police A Division Fair

The Guyana Police Force “A” Division, as part of their Social Crime Prevention Strategy is hosting its Annual Career Day Fair today. The theme for the event is “Instilling a Growing Mindset, your Career, and Our Mission”.

The event being held at the Police Sports Club Ground, Eve Leary commenced at 10:00 AM.

Over 1,200 youths from 21 Youth Group within the ‘A’ Division are slated to attend. event.

In a short Hand Over Ceremony at KFC’s Head Office on Vlissengen Road; Mrs. L. Blair – Mc Gregor – The Community Relations Officer of ‘A’ Division, expressed gratitude to the Management of KFC, for donating to such a great cause.

Blair stated that this is the 4th year the Guyana Police Force is holding this event and it aims to bring communities together and strengthen its relationship with the public. She said that the GPF has weekly life skilled training, crafting and other training for the youths from targeted communities, hoping that they will have a different path in life, rather than a troubled one.

Ms. Livasti Bhooplall – Guyana’s Marketing Manager for KFC stated that “we would like to commend the Guyana Police Force for taking this yearly initiative of having a Career Day Fair, and also working weekly with the youths from these targeted communities.

At KFC, we believe it is these youths who will lead our country forward in the coming years. “

The GPF event theme is “Instilling a mindset of Growth”, an according to Bhooplall “at KFC we are keen on all our team members having a mindset for greatness.”

As long as the mind can envision the fact that one can be anything, the youths are already on the pathway of success, she added.
