It will now be possible for inhabitants of Linden to access spirometry services at the Linden Hospital Complex. This is all thanks to the commissioning of a laboratory specifically equipped for that purpose.
It was just last week that the facility became operational with specially trained health care personnel demonstrating how the equipment works. Spirometry is basically a test that is done to help diagnose various lung diseases using a device called a spirometer. It is also used to measure the severity of some other lung diseases in addition to its diagnostic capabilities.
This laboratory comes in wake of Linden’s growing issue of air pollution and its effect on the residence when it came to respiratory health.
