With approval from Cabinet, the members of three Boards are expected to shortly be in place. Minister of State, Joseph Harmon made this disclosure at the most recent hosting of the post Cabinet press briefing in the studio of the National Communication Network [NCN].
According to Harmon approval has been granted for the appointment of Board of Directors for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the National Sport Commission (NSC) and the National Trust Board which will be chaired by Minister of Education Nicolette Henry, Dr. Colin Roach and Lennox Fernandes respectively.
The directors and chairpersons for the new boards, all of which fall under the purview of the Education Ministry, are slated to serve for two years from September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2019.
