Miss Guyana India 2016 Makes Top 10 After 3 Years and Wins Miss Photogenic Subtitle

It was just last month that Brittany Singh was crowned the new Miss Guyana India 2016 at the Mariott Hotel.

After much preparation, the International leg of the competition, Miss India Worldwide was held on Sunday October 9th at the Royal Albert’s Palace in Fords, New Jersey. It was here that Singh represented Guyana along with 25 other beauties of Indian heritage from around the world.

They were given the opportunity to showcase their abilities on the runway donning their various outfits, as well displaying their talents. Ultimately, when the top ten was announced, the hype rose from the Guyanese contingency as Miss Singh’s name was announced. This marked the first time in 3 years since Guyana has entered the top 10. In 2012, Guyana’s own Alana Seebaran won the international title, overcoming 35 other contestants. At that point she had also won the Best Talent Award, Brittany, this year was awarded with the subtitle of Miss Photogenic.

Miss India Worldwide 2016 was announced to be Miss Karina Kohli of USA.
