During her recent visit to Guyana, Miss United Continents Guyana 2017 Divya Yabindranauth visited the Shaheed Boys and Girls Orphanage in Kitty, Georgetown to spend time with the children who are currently housed at the institution.
In her own words, Divya stated that “It was heartbreaking to watch how appreciative they were for the little goodies that I distributed to them; the excitement I saw in their eyes made me realized how privilege I am.” Divya is calling on all overseas based Guyanese to visit the orphanage when they are in Guyana. “If you are ever in Guyana, I encourage you to take some time to visit these children and provide whatever assistance you can, they need the love and support in every way possible.”
