There is yet another reason to celebrate. It comes in the form of the Clarence Hughes Scholarship which grants full funding to Guyana’s most outstanding CAPE students in the field of law. With this initiative providing full tuition at the University of Guyana and internship at Hughes, Fields and Stoby, the best young minds will be trained, nurtured and modelled to become the guiding lights that will take Guyana forward into the next decade and beyond.

Among the beneficiaries to date of this significant undertaking, are Paula Gomes and Shawn Shewram, two promising students whose futures are assured by benefitting from the scholarships; and with people like Paula and Shawn, “we at Hughes, Fields and Stoby are assured that the future of Guyana is in good hands,” said the Law Firm in a statement.

Hughes, Fields and Stoby, the largest law firm in Guyana was established in 1972 by founder Clarence Albert Fitzgerald Hughes. It embraces the motto “We strive to provide our clients, local or international, corporate, or individual with the highest quality legal services available. We focus on the unique needs of each client. Our clients are the driving force behind our long-term success!”
