All roads will lead to the Guyana National Stadium on Saturday September 2, for what is expected to be the most exhilarating of Soca Concert for 2017. Aptly titled ‘Soca in my Heart’, the event, which is being spearheaded by beverage giant, Banks DIH, will feature ‘Mr Fete’ himself, Machel Montano in co with the HD Band which features talents the likes of Farmer Nappy and Patrice Roberts.
Slated to headline the show, Montano is expected to whip his Guyanese fans into a whining frenzy and drenched to the bone by the time the show comes to an end.
But Montano’s performance is not the only one that is highly anticipated. Before he ascends to the stage, a number of local artistes including: Michelle “Big Red” King, Kwasi “Ace” Edmondson, Adrian Dutchin, Timeka Marshall, and Trevor Vibes, will have the task of building an energetic momentum.
While the gates to the stadium will open as early as 17:00 hours, the show has a 19:00 hours start time.
Tickets for “Soca in my Heart” cost $4000 for general admission and $25,000 for the VIP experience. Patrons can pick up their tickets at Demico Retail Liquor Store, Brickdam; Caesar Palace, Durban Street; OMG Restaurant, Sheriff Street; Quik Serve and all Banks DIH branches in Linden, Bartica, Berbice and Essequibo.
