Right handed batsman, Ramnaresh Sarwan will announce his retirement from cricket today at his Alma mater, Stella Marris Primary School.
Sarwan has played 87 Test matches for the West Indies between the years 2000 and 2011. He scored managed to score a total of 5,842 runs with a highest score of 291 with 15 centuries and an average of 40.1.
He made his One Day International debut in July 2000 against England and played 181 matches scored 5,804 runs at an average of 42.60 with five hundreds. He played 220 First-Class matches and made 33 centuries at an average of 38.52 and still is the youngest West Indian player to play First-Class Cricket which he first did as a 15-year-old.
Surely deserving of recognition for his service to the world of cricket.
