Christopher Richards who received his winning ticket from Bel Air Rubis Service is $1,500,000 richer. He is the grand prize winner of RUBIS’ Happy Dayz promotion.

The first time winner said he was stunned at the call from the fuel company notifying him of his good fortune.  In the presence of his wife Genel and his two children, Mr Richards explained, ‘I will first be purchasing an airplane for my son Jason and a dolly for my daughter Nia.”

A loyal Bel Air RUBIS Service Station customer, Mr Richards said the win was even more special as both his children were celebrating their birthdays on the day of the presentation.

Also in the winners row were loyal RUBIS customers Paul Andrews and Claymount Matheson. Andrews who won $400,000 in cash, shared his perspective on the service in the industry by stating that the company sold the best fuel and the service team at the Soesdyke RUBIS Service Station were very good and friendly.   He plans to take his family on a vacation with his winnings.

Matheson who won an electronics package from Star Computers, spoke of the transparency of the online submission of entry forms. Claymount purchased fuel from Ramsburg Rubis service station where he acquired his winning ticket.

Rhonda Johnson, Rubis Account Executive, confirmed the Happy Dayz promotional campaign was a great success.  She said, “Our winners came from around the country and we are happy to have been able to change lives and create Happy Dayz for winners/our customers.”  Ms Johnson also thanked the competition’s sponsors and encouraged customers to continue to shop with RUBIS.

The presentations were made at the Bel Air RUBIS Service Station.
