“The Premier Workplace in Guyana,” was how Minister within the Social Protection Ministry, Mr. Keith Scott, recently described Teleperformance. Minister Scott’s remarks was very heartening since he has responsible for labour issues in Guyana.
Teleperformance, which is viewed as the global leader in outsourced omnichannel customer experience management, recently held its seventh “Joy-at-Work” graduation ceremony. More than 120 employees gathered at the Teleperformance contact center in Georgetown for a celebratory graduation ceremony.
The event was attended by Teleperformance executives and several local officials, including Minister Scott. The Minister at the ceremony recognized the graduates and lauded Teleperformance “for encompassing a strong, unique organizational culture.”
“It is with great pleasure that we recognize Teleperformance as The Premier Workplace in Guyana,” said Mr. Scott.”
He continued, “At the heart of that recognition, is the company’s adoption of the Joy-at-Work programme, an initiative that shows Teleperformance’s true investment in its workforce and unwavering commitment to embrace its core values both inside and outside of the workplace.”
The Joy-at-Work programme, a unique Teleperformance employee leadership and engagement programme, has graduated more than 1,000 employees in Guyana since its inception in early 2015. Teleperformance Guyana’s Joy-at-Work programme centers on the idea that “work should be more than a paycheck” but should be focused on individual development and growth both inside and outside of the workplace. It operates in the context of Teleperformance’s core values: Integrity, Respect, Professionalism, Innovation and Commitment. This locally developed initiative involves training on customer care excellence and empowering employees to apply their unique talents and skills in the contact center environment to uphold a company culture of mutual respect, support and love. The goal is for employees to experience a family both at home and at the workplace, and to look forward to coming to their Teleperformance family each day.
