Vena Mookram crowned Miss World-Guyana 2017

A few weeks ago she was just a finalist who had the potential of becoming a queen to represent Guyana on the international stage at the Miss World Pageant slated for China. However by the end of last evening’s pomp and fanfare at the Kingston, Georgetown Marriott Hotel, 18-year-old Vena Mookram’s fate was sealed.  She was officially crowned Miss World-Guyana 2017.

She certainly set the tone for claiming the crown with her articulate speech, polish struts and a glowing smile that she retained throughout pageantry night. In fact she might have been the taker of the crown simply because of the radiance she exuded since she entered the spotlight.

The virgo-born lass was able to outshine nine other contenders for the crown and made Region Four proud when she was named the ‘Queen of the Night’.

Those who helped to sponsor this Vena to victory are: M&M Investment Inc, Xtreme Fitness Gym, and Shoe Heaven.

Claiming a bit of the spotlight too were: first runner-up, Region Nine’s Manisha Wong and Ariell Ghanie of Region Seven, the second runner-up.

Mookram was crown queen by last year’s Miss World-Guyana, Nuriyyih Gerard. The Miss World-Guyana Franchise Holder is Ms. Natasha Blu Martindale.
