Women Across Differences (WAD) is a non-government organization in Guyana who’s motto is helping women and girls to help themselves
Moreover, one of WAD’s signature programme is the Comprehensive Empowerment programme for Adolescent Mothers and pregnant girls. The main aim of the programme is to reduce unplanned pregnancies among adolescent mothers and to give them a better quality of life. The programme started since 2008 and appropriately 450 girls has benefited from the programme.
The programme focus on five broad areas: Personal Development, Sexual Reproductive health and Right, Entrepreneurial Development, Basic Functional Litercay and PsychoSocial Aspect
The Fundraising Committee of WAD is holding a “Brunch & Fashion Show” on the 28th of April 2018 at the Book Land Garden located at Critchlow Labour College compound between Albert Street and Woolford Avenue. This Brunch & Fashion Show’ is the second of its kind for our organization.
The proceeding of this activity will go toward the Psychosocial aspect of the Comprehensive Empowerment Programmefor Adolescent Mothers.
There will also be a Mini Exhibition. Brunch served from 10.00 AM to 2:00 PM and Fashion Show from 2:00 PM with some of Guyana’s leading designers.
