As a result of the many expressed interest in the project, the team has extended the deadline date for submissions to July 15 as a means of encouraging more youth to take advantage of the opportunity to begin to live their dreams for a better community through innovation.  Prior the team visited several other communities in Region 2, 5, 6 and 9 and this method of consultations is to create a level as possible an opportunity for as many youths in Guyana as possible.

More than 30 persons and groups have expressed interest in participating in the challenge and the team is optimistic that even more will register and submit proposals for a chance to benefit from the Government funded $50 project to stimulate youth involvement in Science, Technology, Engineering, Agriculture, archaeology, anthropology, architecture and the arts as well as mathematics and spirituality based development, STEAMS.  While in Linden the team will also be appearing on radio.
