GRA observed Breast Cancer Awareness with pink decor

Staff of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA) turned out to work in pink attire to lend support to the international awareness about Breast Cancer, last Friday.

At the Authority’s Camp Street Headquarters, various departments were decorated with pink balloons, ribbons, slogans and other symbols to complement the atmosphere. Commissioner-General Mr Godfrey Statia, Ms. Deputy Commissioner-General Hema Khan and their secretarial staff also led by example.

The GRA was invited to join a Breast Cancer Awareness Walk on Sunday October 28, 2018. This event was organised by the Ministry of Public Health, Chronic Disease Unit in collaboration with the Giving Hope Foundation. This activity was held under the theme “I Have Hope.”

October is dedicated Breast Cancer Awareness and a series of activities are held to shed the spotlight on the dreaded disease and the importance of early screening and testing.

The GRA stands in solidary with all breast cancer survivors.
