Ministry of Public Health and PAHO/WHO Guyana conducted a capacity building training for emergency responses and a field test simulation exercise, with health professionals and community leaders from Lethem. This training was done during the period 3-5 July 2018, to build the capacity of health profasionals. The simulation exercise conducted today in region 9 Lethem, showed good communication skills among health professionals from both centres, Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) and the Central Operation Centre, in carrying out the necessary commands and duties of the Emergency Operation Centre (EOC) in lethem and the operation centre in Georgetown. It was recommended that the exercises should continue in order to have a well prepared EOC in Lethem.
