In celebration of Emancipation this year, Courts will be joining with the African Cultural and Development Association (ACDA) to honour and showcase the diversity of African Culture in Guyana.
Once again Courts will be hosting its annual Staff Emancipation Dress Competition as the company acknowledges one of the richest cultures of our people. The programme will feature African drumming and dancing as the staff display their African attire. Customers shopping in store will also be treated to pone, a traditional African food.
The event will also be graced with the presence of Mr. Eric Phillips, an executive of ACDA who will provide an Emancipation address and assist with judging the competition along with other representatives of ACDA.
Courts will also be presenting a cheque of two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) to ACDA in support of their Emancipation Festivities in the National Park on August 1, 2018.
